BREAKING:
Another Bloody Attack Hits Benue – 4 Policemen Killed in Udei, Farmers Maimed in Ortom’s Village
A fresh wave of terror struck Benue State on Sunday, June 29, 2025, as suspected armed Fulani herdsmen launched yet another deadly assault — this time in Udei community, Guma LGA.
Four police officers were killed in the ambush, just two weeks after the Yelewata massacre that claimed over 200 lives. Udei lies less than 15 minutes from Yelewata, painting a grim picture of escalating violence across Benue.
In a related attack, former Governor Samuel Ortom’s hometown was invaded the same day. Two local farmers — Nensha Adeor and Kator Gbenge — were brutally injured while trying to prevent the herders from grazing on their farms. They are currently battling for survival at Gbajimba General Hospital.
